Hi there, fellow Miss Fisher fans! It’s been a momentous week here in the clubhouse - we have some fantastic news for you!

2019 Miss Fisher Con special guest

We’re thrilled to announce that this year, we’ll be joined by...

Greg J. Walker,

composer for Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and for the upcoming movie, Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears!

The soundtrack can make or break a TV show or movie, and Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries is no exception. Greg's original scored music and the period melodies and recordings he chose elevate our favorite scenes, making them suspenseful, joyful, or anywhere in between. Admit it - every time you watch an episode, no matter how shocking the murder (brain extraction via ancient Egyptian tool! pear-shaped Christmas lights! rigged magic trick!) you always dance when the theme music starts up. We do too!

At the con, Greg will share with us the process of composing and selecting all the music we hear on the show, and he’ll give us a small peek into the process of creating music for the big screen. (We’ll also be offering single-day registrations starting in mid-May - stay tuned for more information on that.)

Flat Phryne has left Sweden - her most recent picture is in Lund - and is on the road to her next destination. We can’t wait to see what she gets up to!

Our own Jennifer Aldrich has been interviewed for two podcasts in the past few weeks, for Every Lady Needs a Hobby and for Chatting with Sherri. Jen talks about her trip to Australia to be an extra in Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears, along with what goes into the making of Miss Fisher Con. Listen to them on your favorite podcast platform!

Ms. Fisher’s MODern Murder Mysteries is due to release on Acorn in the US tomorrow, April 29! It’s fun and funny, and it’s had a warm reception in the press - check out these two recent reviews - we hope that it gets greenlighted for a second season!
